Rarely, like tea leaves, can they be turned into honey-scented black tea, Oriental Beauty, honey-scented oolongs, which can enhance the flavour and increase the added value.

The small green leafhopper-like cicada is also known as the floating duster outside.Empoasca onukii Matsuda
Like the Oriental Beauty tea, the tea leaves bitten by the small green leafhopper will emit a special honey-fruit aroma, which is also the most characteristic of honey-flavoured black tea. In recent years, as the price of Oriental Beauty Tea has broken through the sky and continues to inflate, the price of Honey Flavoured Black Tea as a substitute has also gradually risen.

There's one.False LegendsIt is said that the infestation of the little green cicada is "salivation", trying to show that after the tea tree has been bitten, the saliva left on the leaves on the tea buds will be transformed into the honey flavour, and it is said that the more salivation, the heavier the aroma will be, which is not entirely correct. In fact, the little green cicada doesn't have much saliva.

in the light ofThe Secret of Ng Shing Shun's Honey-Scented TeaSaid, the honey aroma changes, to some extent it can be said that the oral secretions of the small green leafhopper, triggering the tea tree shoots to generate this honey aroma, the tea tree itself to resist the special biological mechanism. To Wenke friends can be easily understood as, if you are bitten by mosquitoes, mosquitoes bite your flesh after the oral secretions, so that your flesh on the swelling of a big bag.

Please note that the small green leafhopper is not the only one that sucks the tea leaves in the tea plantation, there are also tsubaki, thistle, spiders... Not every pest will end up with a honey-scented result.
What is the special flavour of honey tea?
Why does Honey Flavoured Black Tea have a honey flavour? It has been scientifically proved that only the tea leaves and the tea leaves after being fed by the 'little green leafhopper' can produce a natural honey-like flavour after reaction, and occasionally there is a honey-like flavour.rock candyThe honey flavour of the tea is not an artificial additive, but is caused by a series of chemical reactions between the small green leafhopper and the honey. Therefore, the honey flavour in honey-scented tea is not an artificial additive, but relies on the sucking of the small green leafhopper, which is caused by a series of chemical reactions.

The small green leafhopper has a big role in it. This problem has disturbed scientists for a long time, after experiments, it was found that after the honey-scented black tea was sucked by the little green leafhopper, the tea buds continued to grow through abnormal metabolism, and produced chemical effects to generate this special chemical ingredient with honey-scented, that is, the outside said that so-and-so phenol, OO hydrocarbons, XX esters. The tea tree emits these sweet odours, and this special ingredient '2,6-dimethyl-3,7-octadiene-2,6-diol' attracts Evarcha albaria, the natural enemy of the small green leafhopper, to drive away the small green leafhopper at a very low concentration.

Honey flavoured black tea from Tea Gold!
Some time ago, we went crazy about Taiwan's Tea Gold, which is about the development of Taiwan's tea industry in the early Republic of China. If you have watched the film, you should have noticed that Mee Heung Tea looks like the "Searching Tea" mentioned in the film. Instead of "salivating", the word "searching" is more appropriate to describe the raw materials of Mee Heung Tea.
Just like the "Oriental Beauty Tea" in the drama "Tea Gold", the honey flavoured black tea is also a tea made with the right timing, the right location, and the right people. After being bitten by the small green leafhopper, together with the climate, temperature, and humidity of the tea plantation, it is possible to make the honey flavoured black tea that is loved by all.
